Sai Applewood Public School (SAPS), Kalyanpur come into bieng in 2005, as a part of Applewood Education Foundation(AEF), in the memory of Late Roop Kishore Nigam And Late Rani Nigam. AEF is a non government organization set up under the aegis of eminent members from all walks of life.

Applewood means Confident Child who can think independently and can differentiate between right and wrong. SAPS is conscious of its responsibility that is why the education is not limited to classrooms but goes beyond, imparting education in social, cultural and emotional spheres to instill of high level of self-assurance in each of its pupil.

The school is determined to prepare the children to take up the challenges of life. Thus the emphasis is on inculcating discipline without any supervision and on discovering the untapped ability of the child to enable him to bring laurels to his family, school and the nation. SAPS provides a children friendly environment where education is not a burden but a continuous process in which the child understands and proceeds at his own pace from simple to complex activities.

The medium of teaching is English, but utmost care is taken that every child also attains proficiency in Hindi (mother tongue). The curriculum is based on C.B.S.E. / N.C.E.R.T. pattern. We aim at fostering among our children a spirit of service to others irrespective of caste, creed, colour, community of nationality.
